Management

Keith Callanan, MPT, CSCS
Co-Owner of Elite Health and Fitness Center

Physical Therapist

Keith is a co-owner of Elite Health & Fitness Center and cofounder of the original and nationally recognized fitness Boot Camp program. He received his Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from Old Dominion University. He also has a B.S. in Exercise Psychology from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell. Prior to founding Elite Health & Fitness, Keith was in Indianapolis, Indiana, working as a physical therapist for the Colts as well as the Methodist Sports Medicine Center. Keith is certified as a Strength & Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA. He is a member of the APTA and PTPN. Keith has also invented various biomechanical therapeutic devices.

Peter Rappoli, CPT, CCS
Co-Owner of Elite Health & Fitness Center

Peter is a co-owner of Elite Health & Fitness Center and cofounder of the original and nationally recognized fitness Boot Camp program. Peter has 18 years experience as a full-time personal trainer and received his associates degree from Ashworth College in Healthcare Management and his bachelor's degree in Health & Fitness from the Optimal Performance Institute/University. Peter holds two career diplomas; one in nutrition and another in fitness from the Professional Career Development Institute. He is currently pursuing his master's degree in nutrition from Huntington College of Health Sciences. He is certified as a personal trainer through ACSM, NCSF, AFAA, FRA, NCCPT, and IFA. Peter is board certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. He is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the NSPA and is a member of the NSCA. In addition to working closely with training staff of both the Boston Red Sox and the Anaheim Angels, Peter was the strength and conditioning coach for Mo Vaughn, Trot Nixon and Nomar Garciaparra's Baseball Camps and Jim Craig's Gold Medal Hockey School. He is currently the strength and conditioning coach for Jason Varitek's Baseball Camp. Peter has worked as the strength and conditioning coach for Bryant College, Stonehill College, and Suffolk University. He is also the personal trainer for the American League baseball's MVP.

Emily Tracy
Club Manager
Group Fitness & Program Director

Emily graduated Magna Cum Laude and received a Bachelors of Science in Physical Education, Exercise Science, and Health Promotion from Bridgewater State College. She is a certified dance teacher and Les Mills BODYPUMP instructor with 20 years dance experience and five years teaching dance and gymnastics. She performed in the Pro Bowl half-time show in 2002, competed on the All-American ranked Bridgewater State College cheerleading team, and performed as a member of the Dance Company and Dance Ensemble at Bridgewater State College. Emily hopes to use her excitement and creativity to enhance our programs. When asked about her approach to fitness and her job, Emily said,

 

“I have a great passion for fitness! I get fulfilled bettering other people’s understanding and awareness of health and fitness. I believe that my enthusiasm and knowledge will help to motivate and educate members to better their lives. I just love it here!!”

 

Jackie Zwicker
Assistant Manager

Jackie comes to Elite after having nearly four years in the legal field as a paralegal. Jackie attended Suffolk University where she majored in Education and Human Services concentrating in Paralegal. While attending Suffolk University, Jackie maintained her passion for athletics on the Lady Rams Softball Team, where she was named captain in her senior year and trained with the Elite Health and Fitness Strength and Conditioning Team. Jackie is now the Assistant Manager of Elite Health and Fitness Center and a trained Les Mills BODYATTACK instructor. Jackie is eager to continue her education and knowledge within the physical fitness field each day.

Lawrence Cibotti, PTA, CPT
Physical Therapist Assistant

After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of Maine and an Associate in Science from Newbury College in Physical Therapy Assistant studies, Larry joined Elite Sports in 2003. With several years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant, Larry’s expertise in a variety of therapeutic techniques and his personal approach to patient care is unparalleled by any of his peers. In addition, Larry is heavily involved in the sports & fitness programming at Elite Sports and is also a professional instructor of pitching mechanics at RBI Academy.

Phyllis Heatley, PTA, CSCS
Physical Therapist Assistant

Phyllis received her Bachelors in Science at UMASS Boston in Sports Medicine, Exercise Physiology and Fitness Administration in 1990. She has over 20 years experience working in the health and fitness industry throughout the Boston and South Shore areas. She continued her education as a Physical Therapist Assistant in 1997. She has over nine years experience working in the field, specifically in outpatient orthopedic clinics. She enjoys working with a variety of patients with orthopedic disorders, specifically sports related injuries. Phyllis has been with Elite for three years and is dedicated to help each patient achieve his/her rehab goals and improve the quality of life.

Cathleen B. Ahern, PT
Physical Therapist

Cathy recently joined the Elite team as a Physical Therapist and the Clinic Manager. As a 1982 graduate of Northeastern University, Cathy brings 28 years of experience  and has worked in outpatient orthopedics her entire career. Most recently, Cathy worked with a group of orthopedic surgeons in Attleboro, MA where she gained valuable experience in post surgical rehab. Cathy is certified in Kinesiotaping and the European Method of manual Lymph Drainage. She enjoys working with clients of all ages and has particular interest in post surgical rehab. Elite is very pleased to welcome Cathy to the team!

Personal Training

Terrence Allen, CPT
Certified Personal Trainer, Level II

Terrence is a nationally certified personal trainer through ACE. He has started "working out" when he was fifteen years old and has not stopped since. Terrence has played baseball and softball since he was eight years old and enjoys strength  and conditioning, muscle building, and functional and "core" exercises. He has been an active part of the Elite Fitness Boot Camp, Stretch and Core, Strength and  Conditioning Program, Elite Fit Kidz, and Senior Circuit Programs. Terrence enjoys working with all ages and abilities. Terrence’s enthusiasm for helping others and positivity make him a great addition to the Elite team.

Lori Freedman, CPT
Certified Personal Trainer, Level II

Lori earned her personal training certification through the ACSM, American College of Sports Medicine. Prior to joining Elite, Lori was a pharmaceutical rep and then a stay-at-home mom. Her love of fitness and helping others reach their goals are why she chose to return to work as a CPT. Lori has always engaged in strength training and cardiovascular conditioning, specifically running. Lori, an avid runner, has completed many races including the Boston Marathon in 2007. Lori will be introducing a challenging interval running class on treadmills called “Run Wild” to Elite.

Josh Green, CPT
Certified Personal Trainer, Level II
Exercise Physiologist

Josh holds a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Physiology from Bridgewater State College, is a certified personal trainer through the IFA and FRA, and has seven years experience as a personal trainer. He enjoys working with all fitness levels and ages. Josh has played golf for over eighteen years, including high school, college and professional golf. He has trained under some of Golf Digest’s top rated instructors, including Tom Cavich, Bob Quirk, and Mike Gibson. Josh currently trains professional and amateur golfers and has trained Suffolk University baseball, softball, and hockey teams. He has also been actively involved in the Elite Fitness Boot Camp, Summer Strength and Conditioning Program, and Mo Vaughn and Trot Nixon Baseball Camps. Josh served as the Assistant Golf Professional at Wentworth Hills and is currently the golf coach for Wareham High School.

Lauretta Jennings, CPT
Certified Personal Trainer, Level II

Lauretta is a certified personal trainer through the NSPA and IFA. She is a certified Les Mills BODYPUMP instructor and also holds certifications in Zumba, Mad Dogg Spin, TurboKick, Aerobics, and Group Fitness.  She is actively involved in the Elite Fitness Boot Camp, Biggest Loser Program, Running Club, and Group Exercise Classes. She specializes in circuit training workouts, but enjoys working with all fitness abilities and ages. Lauretta's excitement for fitness makes her a great motivational instructor and personal trainer!

Cory McCue
Personal Trainer, Level II
Exercise Physiologist

Cory received his Bachelors of Science at Fitchburg State College in Exercise Physiology. During his time there, Cory spent months as a strength and conditioning coach for the men’s Varsity Basketball Team at Quinsigamond Community College. Following graduation, Cory completed his internship at Elite Health and Fitness Center. He is actively involved in the Elite Fitness Boot Camp, Summer Strength and Conditioning Program, Sport Specific Training, and Group Exercise Classes. Cory works with all ages and fitness levels. Cory’s interest and motivation for helping others achieve their goals and continued education in health and fitness makes him an asset to the Elite team.

Bernadette Richards, CPT
Certified Personal Trainer, Level II
 

After earning a BSBA from Boston University, Bernadette worked for ten years as a CPA. Five children later, she had become a stay at home Mom. This was when Bernadette joined Elite as a gym member in January of 2003 and started weight training for the first time. In March 2005, she took it to the next level and joined the Elite Staff as both a personal trainer and a spinning instructor, having earned personal training certifications from FRA and NSPA, as well as a spinning certification through Mad Dogg Athletics. She now enjoys instructing the Elite Fitness Boot Camp (of which she was once a participant) as well as assisting her clients to achieve and maintain their fitness goals. This coupled with the enthusiasm and support that she supplies has proved invaluable on their journeys to success. She currently works with men and women of all ages and fitness levels.

Rachel Rodman, CPT
Certified Personal Trainer, Level II

Rachel holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts from the Art Institute of Boston. After a weight loss struggle of her own, Rachel sought out help from a personal trainer. When she finally reached her goal, she was inspired to join the fitness industry. Rachel began personal training at Rodman Health and Fitness in 2005. She joined the Elite Team in the spring of 2007 and has been a personal trainer and instructor for the Elite Biggest Loser Program ever since. Rachel works well with people of all ages and fitness levels.
