Peter Rappoli, MS, CCS, CSCS
Co-Owner / Senior Director of Personal Training
Peter is a co-owner of Elite Sports, Inc. and co-founder of the nationally recognized Elite Sports Fitness Boot Camp program. Peter has worked with several of Boston’s most legendary athletes, including American League MVP, Mo Vaughn, and Olympic Gold Medalist, Jim Craig. He has also worked with Major League Baseball All-Stars including a Boston Red Sox MVP. In addition to working closely with the training staff of both the Boston Red Sox and the Anaheim Angels, Peter was the strength and conditioning coach for the Mo Vaughn, Trot Nixon, Nomar Garciaparra and Jason Varitek Baseball Camps, as well as, Jim Craig’s Gold Medal Hockey School. He is currently the strength and conditioning coach for Dustin Pedroia’s Baseball Camp. Peter has worked as the strength and conditioning coach for Bryant University, Stonehill College, and Suffolk University. Peter has over 20 years experience as a full-time personal trainer and holds a Master’s Degree in Nutrition from Huntington College of Health Sciences. He also has an Associate’s degree in Healthcare Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Health & Fitness. In addition, he holds a Career Diploma in both nutrition and fitness from Ashworth College. At Ashworth College, he was awarded the DETC (Distance Education Training Council) Outstanding Graduate of the year award.
Peter is certified as a personal trainer through ACSM, NCSF, AFAA, FRA, NCCPT, and IFA. He is board certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners, a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the NSCA and NSPA, and a certified TRX instructor. He is also a member of the NSCA and on the advisory board for the National Strength Professionals Association (NSPA).

Keith Callanan, PT, MPT, CSCS
Co-Owner / CEO / Physical Therapist
Keith is co-owner of Elite Health & Fitness Center and co-founder of the nationally recognized Elite Sports Fitness Boot Camp program. Keith has over 16 years experience in the physical therapy and fitness industries. Keith earned his B.S. in Exercise Physiology from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, where he was also a collegiate athlete. Injuries sustained from football inspired to pursue his current career as a physical therapist. Keith received a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Old Dominion University. As a physical therapy student, Keith had the opportunity to work at Langley Air Force Base, collaborating with staff to discuss patient issues, as well as preparing rehabilitative exercise machines for patient use. Prior to founding Elite Health & Fitness in 2001, Keith worked as a physical therapist for the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts, as well as the Methodist Sports Medicine Center. He also had the unique opportunity to work under renowned knee surgeon, Dr. K.D. Shelbourne. As Director of Physical Therapy at Elite, Keith develops treatment plans while educating patients on its purpose and strategy to anticipate functional outcomes. He specializes in the treatment of the knee and is also the inventor of various biomechanical therapeutic devices used throughout the country today, including the COR-XT Functional Trainer (www.corxt.com). Keith is certified as a Strength & Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA and is a member of the APTA and PTPN. One of Keith’s proudest accomplishments includes running the Boston Marathon.
Ben Godin, PT, DPT, SCS
Chief Operating Officer / Sports Physical Therapist
Ben joined the Elite team in 2010 after completing his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Simmons University. He worked as a Physical Therapist at Elite Health & Fitness Center from 2010-2013 and was promoted to the Clinic Director/General Manager of Elite's Foxboro facility, where he worked from 2013 to 2020. In 2020, he moved into a new role as Elite's Chief Operating Officer, in addition to continuing to treat patients and athletes. Prior to PT school, he earned his B.A. from Bates College, a certificate in health counseling from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, and worked in business management. Ben has a strong clinical interest in sports injury and orthopedic rehabilitation, injury prevention, and sports performance training. He is a Board-Certified Sports Clinical Specialist by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties, an active member of the American Academy of Sports Physical Therapy, is certified in the use of the FMS and SFMA systems, and is a guest lecturer on sports injury rehabilitation at Simmons University. Most important, he is passionate about helping his patients get back to doing what they love to do! In his free time, Ben enjoys cycling and mountain biking, playing ice hockey and guitar, coaching youth soccer, and spending time with his family.
Meredith Rogazzo, PT, DPT, CPT-ACSM, Cert-APHPT
Clinic Director/General Manager - Foxboro
Meredith joined the Elite team in early 2018, where she worked as a staff physical therapist for over 2 years before being promoted to Clinic Director/General Manager in 2020. She graduated from Northeastern University with her undergraduate degree in Rehabilitation and Movement Sciences with a minor in Exercise Science. She then continued on to receive her Doctorate in Physical Therapy with a concentration in Sports, Strength and Conditioning in 2016. More recently she obtained her certification through the Academy of Prevention & Health Promotion Therapies. She has a background in many different clinical settings, from acute care to sports performance. Her area of expertise is in treating a variety of injuries, including sports and orthopedic injuries and concussion. Meredith treats with an eclectic style of therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education and manual techniques. She emphasizes biomechanics and functional strength for all her patients to help them get back to performing at their highest level. Meredith grew up in Mansfield, MA where she played field hockey, ice hockey and track. Meredith went on to play club field hockey at Northeastern and continues to coach field hockey as the assistant coach for Mansfield High School. She is also an avid runner who has completed several marathons, most recently the 2018 Boston Marathon. Meredith is also currently pursuing her certification as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the NSCA.
Ryan Newton, PT, DPT, ATC
Physical Therapist/Athletic Trainer - Foxboro
Ryan graduated with his BS in Rehabilitative Sciences and Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northeastern University with a concentration in Sports Conditioning and Management of the Athlete. He has experience with personal training, strength and conditioning, as well as professional sports. He has a strong interest in sports medicine, orthopedic pathologies/injuries, and is a contributing author to research found in the Journal of Sport Rehabilitation. He currently holds an EMT certification (NREMT-B) and has recently obtained his Master's Degree in Athletic Training from Bridgewater State University. Ryan recently finished an internship with the New England Patriots during the 2019 season to further his knowledge and skills with managing the athletic population. He particularly enjoys treating the shoulder, knee, and ankle, although he enjoys working with all demographics and is always looking to learn! In his spare time he enjoys strength and conditioning training, playing basketball, and keeping up with the latest topics in sports medicine.
Nicole O'Neill, PT, DPT
Physical Therapist - Stoughton
Nikki joined the Elite team after receiving her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from MGH Institute of Health Professions in 2019. She graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2016 with her BS in Allied Health Sciences and a minor in Psychology. Throughout graduate school, Nikki gained clinical experience in acute care, home health, outpatient neurological rehabilitation and skilled nursing facilities, but found she is most passionate about outpatient orthopedic and vestibular rehabilitation. She works hard to develop individualized programs that are centered on reaching each patient’s goals. She continues to be involved with MGH Institute of Health Professions as a lab instructor and seminar facilitator. In her free time, Nikki enjoys staying active in the gym, traveling and spending time with friends and family.
Jessica Cesario, OT/L, CHT
Occupational Therapist/Certified Hand Specialist - Stoughton
Jessica graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1996 where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy. She participated in advanced professional study of Hand and Upper Extremity Rehabilitation at Tufts University and became a Certified Hand Therapist in 2010. She has been practicing for 24 years, specializing in rehabilitation of the elbow, wrist and hand for the last 13 years. Jessica joined the Elite therapy team in 2013. She is experienced in custom splinting and treating various upper extremity conditions including fractures, sprains and strains, arthritis, tendonitis, tendon and nerve repairs, and work and sports related injuries. Jessica grew up in Rochester, NY and was a high school athlete, playing soccer and running track. She moved to the Boston area in 1999. She enjoys cooking, running and spending time outdoors with her family and dog.
Stephanie Preve, PTA
Physical Therapist Assistant - Stoughton
Stephanie joined the Elite team in 2017 after graduating with honors from Bay State College with her A.S. Physical Therapy Assistant degree. She also holds a B.S. in Exercise Science from Elon University and has had great mentors throughout her schooling and internships at Elite, Beth Isarael Deaconess Medical Center and Longmeadow of Taunton. Stephanie loves getting to know each one of her patients and enjoys working with post-operative patients and patients with a variety of injuries. She works hard to personalize each treatment towards her patients’ goals, with an emphasis on functional exercises and creating independence through movement. Stephanie always knew she would end up in the PT field after being introduced to physical therapy at a young age due to her numerous gymnastics injuries. She continues to be involved in the sport of gymnastics and is currently a USAG Judge and competitive team coach. She has also designed and managed gymnastics-specific strength and conditioning programs at Elite. Outside of work, Stephanie loves doing Crossfit, traveling, and spending time with family.
Phyllis Heatley, PTA
Physical Therapist Assistant - Stoughton
Phyllis Joined the Elite team in 2006. She completed her BS degree in Sports Medicine, Exercise Science and Fitness Administration from UMass Boston in 1990. She worked in the Fitness Industry for many years as a Fitness Director and Personal Trainer. She attended Northeastern University in 1992 and
took 6 classes at the masters level in Clinical Exercise Physiology. In 1997, she graduated from Newbury College and obtained her Associates Degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. She has been certified as a Health/Fitness instructor with the American College of Sports Medicine and was certified with the
National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. She has worked as a Physical Therapist Assistant for the past 19 years in outpatient orthopedic clinics treating patients with a variety of injuries. Phyllis enjoys working with a variety of patients, including post-operative patients and those with sports injuries. She works hard to keep her patients motivated for the best possible outcome, improving their quality of life and helping them get back to the activities they enjoy. Phyllis enjoys working out and has a strong passion for running and strength training. She has completed 5 Boston Marathons with the most recent in 2019, runs many road races each year, and has completed 3 triathlons. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family, attending her son's sporting events, and watching football.
Katie McCarthy, BS, CSCS
Assistant Manager of Training - Foxboro
Katie originally joined the Elite team as an intern in the summer of 2015. Since then, Katie received her BS in Exercise Science at Colby-Sawyer College and was hired in May 2016 as a sport performance coach and physical therapy aide. Since that time, she has been promoted to Assistant Manager of Training at Elite’s Foxboro facility and has become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Katie played both soccer and basketball at Mansfield High School and was a four-year member of Colby-Sawyer’s Women’s Basketball team. She continues her love for the game through coaching both basketball and soccer at all age levels.
Ben Kenney, BS, CSCS
Personal Trainer/Sports Performance Coach - Foxboro
Ben Kenney graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a BS in Kinesiology. Soon after he graduated, he earned his Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification through the NSCA. He previously worked as an assistant coach for track and field throwers at Bishop Feehan High School. His passion for fitness stems from being a former athlete — football, sprinter, javelin and discus thrower, at Bishop Feehan, and former rower at URI. As he has grown and learned more about exercise as a science, he has come to appreciate what a well-tuned exercise program can do to excel an athlete’s ability and help keep them injury-free while playing. He looks forward to continuing his education in exercise science and growing his reputation as a performance coach for athletes of all levels.
Mckenzie Miller, BS
Manager of Office Administration
Mckenzie was one of the first team members here at Elite Sports & PT in Foxboro, joining us in September 2013. She received her BS in Health & Exercise Science from Syracuse University in December 2010. Mckenzie continues to show her passion for the Orangemen by playing both co-ed intramural basketball and volleyball and coaching multiple AAU basketball teams. When she’s not busy at Elite, she can be found scouring the streets searching for the best donut, training for her next road race, hiking or participating in hot yoga boot camps. She has several years of experience as a Personal Trainer and Physical Therapy Aide and plans on continuing her education in the health & fitness field by obtaining her CSCS certification.
