Rohan Jayaraman, 16, of Foxboro, is a junior at the Wheeler School in Providence, RI and is a member of the basketball program. Rohan began training at Elite exactly one year ago this month and has never looked back! His training at Elite with Coach Katie McCarthy, BS, CSCS, has helped elevate his game to new levels on the basketball court and he knows this is just the beginning. His improved strength and explosiveness on the court has allowed him to compete at a higher level on the court.

Last season, Rohan was named captain and MVP of the Wheeler Warriors JV basketball team. His hard work in the weight room (even during the season!) paid off when he was on the court! Rohan gets excited about seeing his steady progress in the weight room and enjoys looking back at his past personal bests and saying, “I could have never done that a few months ago!” Rohan believes a true athlete is one who “is always pushing themselves to be better, can never be content, and always hungry for more.” Rohan demonstrates these qualities on a a daily basis and is always looking to get better.

Rohan had great advice for younger athletes and believes, “don’t set limits for yourself, you can always beat anyone’s expectations.” A great role model to the younger athletes of Elite, he always shows up for his training sessions with a positive attitude and ready to work. He says he continues to train at Elite not only to get better but also because of Elite’s fun and supportive atmosphere. Rohan has made some significant progress over the last year through his consistent dedication to his training program. Check out his test results below over the course of his training at Elite!

After high school, Rohan hopes to continue to play basketball at the college level as well as studying some type of engineering. Elite is excited to name Rohan Jayaraman as the Athlete of the Month for December, 2021! Congratulations Rohan, we are so proud of you and thank you for being such an outstanding member of our Elite community! Best of luck in your upcoming basketball season!
