Jenna Tivnan, 23, of Easton, is the first REPEAT Athlete of the Month at Elite Sports Performance and Physical Therapy in Foxboro! Jenna has been with Elite for 10 YEARS – yes, you read that correctly – 10 YEARS! Her journey at Elite began with soccer teammate, Taylor Kofton, back in 2013 and since that time she has trained with almost every coach at Elite over the past decade. She spent her early years at Elite training with Coach Peter Rappoli, and more recently with Coach Katie McCarthy. Needless to say, Jenna has been a consistent and beloved member our community for a long time!

Jenna’s success in her soccer career began early and she has never looked back. During Jenna’s youth club soccer days, she helped lead her NEFC club team to an NPL Championship as well as an US Club National Championship in 2016. Jenna spent the next four years at Governor’s Academy where she was a captain and a two-time selection to the MA All-State team. After high school, Jenna spent her next five years at Syracuse University starting at center back for the Orange. Jenna was a two year captain and earned numerous awards with the Orange and you can read more about her accomplishments at https://cuse.com/sports/womens-soccer/roster/jenna-tivnan/21571.

Throughout Jenna’s career, she overcame many challenges, including a few injuries that required some assistance from Elite’s physical therapy staff, Jane Hatzikonstantis, Ben Godin, and former Elite PT, Meredith Young. Jenna attributes much of her ability to stay on the field over the years to her phenomenal physical therapists at Elite. When faced with adversity from her injuries, she says, “The best advice is to just keep working. The only one holding you back is you. You can do far more than you think.”

After graduating from Syracuse, Jenna returned to Elite and, as always, worked hard to prepare to play at next level. On July 21, 2023, she finally received the long awaited call from her agent with the incredible news that she was signed by Racing Power FC in Portugal! Everyone here at Elite is so excited for Jenna for accomplishing her most recent goal and reaching this level of professional soccer. We’ve seen how hard she’s worked for this and it’s great to see all of her hard work and dedication rewarded!

When Jenna started training with us at age 13, she was one of our youngest athletes. With this month marking 10 years of training at Elite, she’s one the most respected and appreciated role models at Elite and is always willing to share her experiences and advice with younger athletes. “Do what you love, and when you feel like you’re getting down in your sport (or anything), just remember why you love it, how you felt while playing when it was just for fun, and just keep your head down and keep working.”

No one works harder (or sweats more!) than Jenna, and it is her unwavering work ethic, commitment, and attitude that truly make her Elite. We are so excited to announce Jenna Tivnan as our Elite Foxboro Athlete of the Month for August, 2023. Congratulations, Jenna! Keep getting after it over there in Portugal and always remember, you have an entire Elite Family cheering you on from back home!
