Sydney Santucci, 13, of Mansfield, has been training at Elite Sports Performance & Physical Therapy in Foxboro since fall of 2022. Sydney plays competitive soccer and basketball for the Mansfield Hornets as well as club soccer with NEFC. Over the years, Sydney has had success in both of her sports, but she is especially proud of a recent soccer season during which she scored 39 goals in 30 games!

Sydney first came to Elite with the goal of improving her strength. During her time at Elite, she has put in the work and made significant improvements in the weight room. Her favorite exercises are the dumbbell bench press and eccentric pull ups. As you’ll see below, she’s demonstrated excellent gains in her strength, speed, power and agility over the past year of training here at Elite. Check out her impressive gains below!

When asked what advice she might give to younger athletes, she encourages athletes to “work hard towards your dreams and practice a lot!” Sydney is a great example of this time-tested approach and constantly works hard to accomplish her goals and dreams.

When asked what defines a true athlete, Sydney tells us that “a true athlete is someone who brings their teammates up, not down, and is a leader.” Sydney is one of those athletes who enjoys every second of both competing and training. She always walks into the gym with the biggest smile and she always brings the positive energy to Elite!

Sydney has been training at Elite consistently for the past year and a half, which is a big reason why she’s continued to make gains and see such positive results. She tells us that one of the main reasons she’s remained so consistent is because she knows her personalized training program at Elite has helped her improve her strength, speed and power. She also enjoys the positive atmosphere of Elite and working with Coach Katie and Coach Ben!

Looking forward, Sydney would like to continue playing and excelling in both soccer and basketball and hopes to play soccer at the collegiate level one day. Given her strong work ethic and consistent dedication to her training and her sports, we know the sky’s the limit for Sydney in the years ahead and we’re excited to follow her athletic career and help her continue to improve as an athlete. Congratulations to Sydney Santucci, our Elite Athlete of the Month for April, 2024!
